How to put a Next.js app online on Devora Cloud, with Git, a ZIP or your AI and a token.

Technical illustration. Features and regions depend on the plan, availability and application compatibility.

A Next.js app in production needs a build, a process that stays up and HTTPS. On Devora that is a publish, not a machine to configure.

Connect GitHub, upload a ZIP or ask your AI. For the third path, generate the token under AI token & API, say whether the project lives in the United States or Germany, and paste the text into Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot.

What the publish does

Devora detects the project or uses the Dockerfile if there is one. The build runs off your computer. When it finishes, https://your-project.apps.devoracloud.com answers. Variables such as the database URL are set in the dashboard or by the AI, not inside the repository.

Database and files

If Next.js stores data, ask for PostgreSQL before the first deploy. The connection arrives as DATABASE_URL. User images and PDFs go to the project’s private S3, not into the public folder, which is part of the build.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to write a Dockerfile?

No, if automatic detection recognizes Next.js. Use a Dockerfile when the build has a step only you know.
